The first day of winter, December 21, usually brings with it much cooler temperatures than the Jersey Shore is experiencing this year. For small businesses like Joe Wehner & Sons Contracting, LLC, warmer weather leads to an extended excavating season which brings with it the opportunity to get in those last minute projects before the ground freezes. Although not impossible to dig, frozen ground makes for difficult projects, and is exceptionally hard on our machinery.
Recently we were lucky enough to work with a homeowner in Jackson who wanted to get the first phase of his project completed before the weather became too cold and the ground too hard. Joe and his team worked carefully to clear the land and dig a basement for this new construction home. The homeowner can now move forward with his project on time.
